Government Relations advances the interests of Rice University by acting as a liaison between the institution and local, state and federal government. By partnering with university leaders and faculty to prioritize goals, our staff develops strategies that generate support for Rice’s programs and interests. In an effort to keep those messages on point, the university has established the following guidelines and procedures:
Contacting federal and state officials
Rice employees and students should check with Government Relations before contacting any elected official on any matter related to official university business. Employees and students should direct questions about state or federal lobbying regulations to Government Relations
