Rice is looking Centennial Campaign goal in the eye
With the fiscal year coming to a close, Rice University is well on its way towards establishing a foundation for another century of excellence. The Centennial Campaign overcame Hurricane Ike and the nation's lingering economic downturn to raise $552.7 million in its first fiscal year — more than half of its goal. That's good enough for the third-largest fundraising year in Rice's history.

Jones Graduate School of Management has officially changed its name to the Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Business.

Martha Alexander has received Rice University’s Distinguished Employee Award for her giving spirit and tireless dedication to international students. She serves as an associate at Sid Richardson College and spends the remainder of her free time working with students through the Office of International Students and Scholars.
